Hoist,
I cannot imagine what you are going through, but I would like to relay a story to you. I went down on July 26th and when I got to the ER, they weren't sure if I was going to make it to see the 27th. 31 straight days in the hospital, 4 months of rehab and last week I had rotator cuff surgery with another 3 months of rehab coming up.
My point? After coming home on New Years Eve, my wife asked me, "Is all of this worth it?"
"Is what worth it?", I replied.
"Is all this risk worth riding again?", she asked
Without even a nano-second of pause, I answered, "You bet it is!"
If you are anything like the rest of us on this forum, stop riding is not an option. Like someone said earlier in this thread, "Be selfish" and do whatever you have to do to keep riding.
After the initial shock wears off, look at Coumadin as an inconvenience and not a debilitater. I hope that you get some comfort that we are ALL here to support you in anyway that we can.
