Congrads on the new scooter.  I like the chubby WO575 bars.

Mr_Magoo,
Thanks for the recommendation on the handle bars.

I have a few questions, if you don't mind:  Did you install the bars yourself?  If so, would you attempt the project again?  Did you have to replace brake lines and/or wiring? :confused5:

I know, lots of questions...but you don't know unless you ask, right?

Had to rebuild the front brake hose assembly have the parts list posted some where on the site .  Other than that very easy. Want to look at the throttle wiring and inside the fairing before I decide what to do.  Ask away somebody will always have an answer or suggestion

Well, I went and did it.  Saturday I picked up an 08 SEUC.  It is Copper Canyon and Stardust Silver.  I have seen several pictures and heard folks refer to the color as "strawberry"...Looks orange to me.  Looks awesome out in the sun with maybe just a slight hint of a redish tent (if you use your imagination)...No, It's orange...

Congrats on the new scoot. New always feels good. Gotta flip over to H-D site and review the color......no pics ya know....

The color on the HD web site isn't very close to reality.

Not even close....it's orange.  It is a great looking bike (especially out in the sun), just not the same color as the HD site.  I would think that Harley would try to do a better job with the pics on the site. :nixweiss:

Congrats on the new bike. I keep hearing of the Strawberry bike being seen. Wonder if it is the same as 05 and MoCo is doing each color in separate runs. If so, I'm surprised they didn't do the anniversary (copper / black) first.

MJZ,

Nothing strawberry about this color - maybe Dreamsicle.  I hope to get some pics uploaded soon.

I have heard of one anniversary (copper & black) bike.  All the rest have been canyon copper (orange) and silver.  Have not seen or heard of any of the white & silver yet.  I got the color I wanted, so I am happy. :huepfenjump3:

I have wondered if there may have been paint problems of some sort with the other two colors. :nixweiss:

Hey lilrebel, strawberries, oranges this is getting really psychedelic, it's sounding more and more like that famous old Beatles song Savoy Truffle from the White Album.
Enjoy the ride and please, please, please remember

Congratulations on the new bike.  It sounds like some folks want to see pictures.  Pictures would be great, but tell us what you think about the new ride!

I had the dealer install the Vance & Hines Big Shot duals and re-map.  They sound good and gave it a nice clean look from the side, but kinda look like pea-shooters coming out the back...I think I am going to try some fish-tail end caps.  I will probably ride it up to the 1000 mile service and then decide if I want to add the SE Race Tuner or a PC.  I have the PC (+ dyno tuned) on my 02 Ultra, so I am guessing that I will be spending the money to do the same on the new bike.

I now have about 200 miles on it...man!!! what an awesome ride.  I have never in my life purchased a warranty on a bike, vehicle, TV, or anything else.  After reading about the problems that other folks are having, I spent the money for the five year warranty on this one...I thought maybe better safe than sorry.

I have got to change out the handle bars!!!  I have pull-backs on my 02 and love them.  I would have had the handle bars changed by the dealer, but they said they are not available from HD yet for the 08 with the "drive by wire".  If anyone knows of a good after market option, please let me know.

I am also going to lower the suspension.  As best I can tell, the 08 is setting about 1 1/2 higher than the 02.  The seat is also much thicker than the seat on the 02, so I am guessing I am about 3 inches higher off the ground than I am on the 02.  If anyone has suggestions on lowering the suspension, your input will be welcomed!

I will get some pics posted in the next day or so.

I have Legend Air Suspension on the rear of my 07 SEUC (absolutely love them - raise or lower about 3 1/2 with the push of a button) and lowered the front with Progressive Coils, although many members seem to  be pretty happy with Traxxion cartridges up front... Congrats on the new bike - save some money to cool the motor down!!
