Fun With Color
« on: February 08, 2005, 01:06:10 AM »

Got to wondering what the cherry seeg would look like with the colors flipped. See what you think.

Like everything except the front fender (same complaint as the standard paint scheme actually).

In the reversed scheme the fairing and tank look.... I don't know.... meaner or bolder.  Bolder is probably a better description.  But the big swath of the lighter red really looks out of place on the side of the front fender.  Needs to be broken up some.

Would be interested to see everything but the front fender reversed.

I like it....a lot.  Something hits me as off with the front fender also.  Seems as though you could match it more closely to the bags.  If so, I think it would be an awesome color combo.

I like it, too.  Not that I don't like the original version, but I've always thought that darker primary colors looked best on the big bikes.

I have to agree with the others, Nice combination with the darker as the primary color. The front fender needs something different.

are the lower fairings monotone on the 2005's?  In 2004, they were two-tone...this might account for the front fender looking so stark in contrast to the rest of the bike.

This is what I was talking about with the teal combo. The lighter color as the primmary on the fender dosne't look good to me. And I don't like it on the red bike either.

Hey MOBE - Can you take a pic of a teal bike and reverse those colors on the front fendor as you did with the red one..?? That'll show what I'm trying to accomplish with my paint guy.

Thanks...

Reversing the colors is cool.
But I'm happy with mine the way it is.

Wonder how a pumpkin would look reversed? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
