Chrome Transmission Shroud Cover 07 Softail Hydraulic Clutch
« on: August 15, 2007, 04:23:02 PM »

I went to the dealer today to buy a little bling for the bike only to find out that they do not make a chrome trans. shroud cover for the 07 softail with hydraulic clutch. We called Kuryakin and they also do not make it for hydraulic clutch. Does anyone know of anybody who makes one?

Ouch! skippy that hurts. I was going to get the "other brand aka. pro-pipe" but I liked the sound better from the Rinehart's.  ;D

Kuryakin one fits with a (very!) little Dremel (have Dremel, am dangerous) adjustment.

Hey Jim - exactly what OCD do you have around the bottom of your pots ?

A list would be nice.

Thanks Jim - looks like I have done pretty much the same research as you as my list is almost identical to the one above. I just haven't bitten the bullet yet and ordered them.

I fancied a Chrome starter too but at £470.00 I kind of winced a little :nervous:

Thanks Jim for the info on using the dremel I just may have to give that a try if they don't come out with something soon.

The Kury booth at Sturgis had an 07 110 CVO that was all decked out.  Talked to the rep at length and he told me it was all available now and would fit.  :nixweiss:  That's what he said anyway.  Have been meaning to call them the last week with a few questions before submitting my order.

The Dremel work might not even be completely necessary - I was just happier to relieve it a bit.

However, I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the quality of Kuryakyn stuff.  The chrome is thin, the bolts (stainless or chrome) are always cheap and soft, and easy to round off.  If there were MoCo parts, I'd always choose them first.
