SEUC
White frost / silver mist
No date yet
10*

*Canceled my order and got my deposit back!!!!!!!
The dealer is still going to notify me of the ship date just in case MoCo finds a true and tested fix before the bike comes in. No problem if I decide I still want it because every customer that had a deposit down on 08 SEUC have canceled and demanded their deposits back at this dealership.
I still like the bike but not anywhere near the character, looks or versatility of the 05 SEEG, IMHO

1. Which CVO bike you have on order I have a 2008 FLHTCUSE-3 on order.

2. Color combo 105'th Copper and Black

3. When you think your dealer will deliver. Ship date shows 9/28; however, the original ship date was 9/7

4. Your concern over the 110" issues on a 1-10 scale, 1 = not worried at all and a 10 = I am considering cancelling my order  Not worried at all, my 07 Jester is perfect!

I am really fascinated by the responses thus far.  Both extremes - back to pack posts.  It will be interesting to see how the 110" issues play out on these inbound CVO units.  Both of my Harleys are finally sold now for the purpose of paying for my CVO - I hope I am not disappointed, I guess I could always get another regular Ultra Classic, not so bad.  At least the 08 has the 96" and a 6 Speed, could be worse I suppose.  But the wife and I are really excited about the CVO Ultra, so let's hope this all gets worked out...

I'm curious if the people that are saying they are happy with their 07's have 6K miles or more.

I have to admit, my fears over the 110" issues had me looking at a Goldwing this morning.

I did that too, and wound up buying one.   ::)

No air filter change, no new pipes, no race tuner.  Just hop on and and ride.  I'm keeping the SEUC, but it's nice to have something different.

MJZ,
I don't have 6K on mine yet  (just over 4K) and no problems yet.  I look at it this way, if they do start seeping, I've already warned my dealership and they said no problem, give us a call and bring it in and we'll replace both, or do whatever is necessary to get you back up and running.  They hadn't heard of the problem, but also admitted that they had only sold 8 110's and weren't that familiar with the issues yet.  They said that they'd start looking at the 110's that come back in for service and will check the head gaskets.  I think there's been some issues with the 110's but there's always been issues with first-year models, no matter what auto/motorcycle company you're talking about.  As long as they can fix it, it's okay by me.  Yeah, I won't appreciate the down-time, but nothing built today is perfect.  Even Wings have their problems.  If you don't mind riding a bike that sounds like a sewing machine, buy a wing.  They've got about as much soul as a rubber ball.  JMO.

I haven't been around for a month or two (vacation and office) but it's interesting to note that the SEEG crowd are still waiting for something better to come along.

Very good observation! :2vrolijk_21:

I guess I was just looking for an excuse to cancel since I first saw the 08's unvailed. They certainly did not light my fire like the 05's did when they came out. The minute I saw the 05's I started looking for one to buy, had to have it. I was in the buying mode for an 08 but when I saw them I was disappointed and for that kind of $$$$ you should be somewhat excited not saying "WTF, it's a regular ultra paint job".

The paint job is okay on the Coppercanyon/Silver and White/Silver bikes, but nothing that super special like in the years prior.  The Anniversary design flows a bit nicer, but the color is not way up at the top of my list of choices.

And to further your point, the bikes that are priced in excess of MSRP are sitting on dealer showroom floors and not selling, or they are selling very slowly.  There is a Copper Canyon/Silver that has been sitting at our local dealer for a few weeks.  Calling around, there are several "live bikes" available at varying "premiums" over the MSRP.  It will be interesting to see if these bikes will finally be sold at MSRP or will the dealers continue to hold them.  You would think that $35,000 for a motorcycle is enough to pay, wouldn't you?
