They were super-nice folks and were ecstatic with the condition of the car when they saw it, so it made it somewhat easier. D@mn, it hurts just to look at the pictures, but what the heck, here's one more for old times sake. (Guess this should be in a thread called "What used to sit in your garage . . . ??")
Wow - hurts to think about it cars that used to be in the garage...the ones that really hurt are vintage race cars I bought from my father over the years (and sold) ...
How about a 1955 D type XKD536 Jaguar, or a 1963 Corvette Couple - split window, fuel injected, Ron Caplan (Nickey Chevrolet) Purple People Eater Corvette...raced at Sebring in 1964 with Jerry Grant/AJ Foyt driving, or a 1969 Z28 Camaro that won 4 National Championships over the years (one by my father) - orginally built by John Greenwood for GM (I still have some parts off this car), a 1958 Cadillac powered Allard, I could go on and on...
Or my former street cars - all Corvettes - a 1963 coupe, a 1965 coupe, a 1968 convertible, a 1978 coupe, a 1984 coupe, a 1988 convertible, a 1999 convertible...all long since sold...
But now I have this really cool red motorcycle with a brand new motor and...
