Nothing like pushing things to the wire from everyone. Tracking for the package even showing it in town?

Gaskets are in. Alex checked the weights this morning just to confirm weights, and the pistons were within 1/2 gram of each other. He must've sublimininally heard all you "experts" commenting on it. ::)

I've checked myself, and found that you can have up to 50 grams, again, that's 50 grams (almost 2 oz. for all you experts) of uneven piston weight before throwing off the BF of the crankshaft assembly. Call S&S yourself if you don't believe that.

But I guess that 1/2 gram difference won't allow my engine to last as long as Chip's. After all we didn't use the "Ronco Piston Balancer" that Chip used to make sure he was balanced! :P

The allowable difference is something a builder should know.
At least someone got a scale and checked.
That was better than not checking.
Which would have been the path had not such a concern been raised.

RUB's where on this site did you find some of them?
A guy at the Harley shop told me a rub was anyone with more than one bike.
His point was you can't ride but one at a time.
I guess there are a few of those people on this site.
Don't you have two?

Since the builder and designer both knew this, they told me not to worry. But wow, I feel so much better now!
All this technical questioning of yours got me real nervous for a second! :nixweiss: ::)

Popeel is another brand by Ron Popeel of Ronco fame. Say what you want about the products, the guy is a genious at what he does.

Hey, Mike, hope you're just joking around here, but it's sorta tough for me to tell. :confused5:  I've met and ridden with Howie and he's no stereotypical RUB.  I don't agree with not weighing the pistons after you're done grinding on them, but I also don't agree with the RUB comment.  After all, we're all pretty well off aren't we, or we wouldn't be riding CVO and other high-$$$ bikes that consume our disposable income. :nixweiss:

Why thank you there Hoisty!
Coming from someone that has 48K invested in a 28K bike that doesn't even run I take that as a compliment.
Maybe Ronco will start making armchairs so you can come sit with me. The view is great!

Well, as they say, there's an asshole for every seat! And you found yours. I'll pass on Ronco's matching "Chip Expert Loveseat" this time! The view will be just fine from atop my SERK! Closer to 50, but who's counting. After all, facts don't matter, only controversy! And that armchair must be much more comfortable than that fancy softail of yours. We never get to see that except in pictures. Is that bike really yours? Or did you have to get up off that armchair to pose in front of it? :nixweiss:

I think it was a joke, especially after seeing all the comments and then finding out that our "armchair experts" concerns weren't as valid as they thought they were. And I'm more of an UB Brian! Rich I'm not. But I've been spending my money on my bikes for a long time. You don't need to be rich to do that. Just passionate and committed. And I'll need to be committed after this is done! ;D

50K  HMMMMMMMM
Even worse than I thought.
Not sure I would be telling that.
You forgot to mention that part about it's not running.

But we are all hoping.

The Frontier will be in M/V.
Maybe we can get a picture of you in front of it.
Holding the throttle.
I can post it above my armchair.

I hear ya, Howie.  Matter of fact, the "U" is way out of place with me.  I believe "S" for "Southern" or "R" for "Redneck" or "C" for "Country" fits better.  And as for the first letter of the acronym.........now that I've spent my allowance on my build, the letter is "P" for "Po."  Heck, I'm so "po" I can't afford the "o" and the "r."
