Hopefully, you'll be seeing many more like these this year. If I can run my bike without an engine, I know I'll never have to cancel another trip. Well, the next best thing is building a REAL engine for it, that will hold up to Hoist's abuse. And hope that's the ticket to years of reliable riding!!! ;)

Don't think that'll stop the complaining though. I'll just find something else to complain about. After all, the world is comprised of 99% assholes. It'll be easy to find new material!!! ::) :P ;D ;D ;D

Everything just showed up today at North Shore!!! They're unpacking it all this afternoon to check everything, and will call me so I know we're cool with all the parts now. But the packages were good shape.

I hope it's all there and in perfect condition this time. I'll try to get a timetable on everything now. :2vrolijk_21:

Don't know how many pics I'll get. I can't always get out there during the week. Vern's gonna assemble the engine, and I doubt I'll have any of that part. I wanted to get over there and see everything. I should be able to do that if he doesn't start anything til Wed. But knowing Vern, he's eager to get into this engine! :)

Yeah Scott, Wes assured me he took care of everything. Between him and Vern, I have an excellent chance. It was nice to meet them. I'm glad it shipped before the show. So there was no sense in beating a dead horse over the delays with them. But I had to torture them a little! ;)

I got to see the Jim's Timken Conversion Tool at the show. After talking to Vern, seeing it, talking to the Jims people and other builders, I'm comfortable with it. Looks like a great setup. Well thought out and good quality.

Hopefully there's nothing in the way of getting the bike back together now!

Howie, remember from reading brochure and other information that the install kit and sleeve itself were spec'd for 03 and up Twin Cams.  Did any of the differences that were part of the 96-103-110 new motor series impact on the Jim's sleeve installation?  Or was it exactly the same task on your engine as it would have been for the prior years bikes?

Thanks Mike. There were a few issiues with the parts. We're working with Wes to have them corrected now.

Don, the cases are the same for these motors regarding installing the Timken. In this case, size doesn't matter. ;)
