I can't imagine paying 5K over MSRP, that is crazy.

It happens more than you'd believe here in Socal ... :(

Sometimes it seems that there is more money here than brains.  Believe me, with all the bad stuff I have been reading, I am plenty nervous paying the already very high MSRP for the 08 CVO Ultra.  It's plenty bad enough at MSRP, no less at thousands over that number.  I am forging ahead because we do love the bike and it is the most fun for touring, but I ain't feelin' terribly smart about it right now - seems like the MoCo is letting us all hang out there... Just hoping like heck that we get a "good" one :nervous:

I kinda felt the same way just before I signed at the "X".  I was wondering if I needed my head examined.
I love the bike...it's awesome!  I just hope I escape all the problems, but if not, I may feel pretty smart about buying the 5 year extended warranty.

Leasing would be an excellance option for people with more brains than money.  If you can rent a Harley some one should come up with a long term lease.  But, it would probably be as expensive as renting. :'(
