Hi all, today while about 5 miles from home going uphill in fresh gravel, I developed a new noise, really sounded like to big pieces of plastic slapping togeather and the noise increased and decreased with the throttle position. I rode to the top of the hill looking for a wide spot to check this out and as soon as I leveled out the noise went away, rode another 40 miles no problems or noises. When i got home i poked proded and shook everything i could get my hands on and could not duplicate the noise. Could this be a compression release stuck  open for a few minutes?
any other ideas?

I have been trying to find out what a faulty ACR does and a few have told me compression tests can figure that one out, I am sorry to tell yall, when my head gasket went it sounded like an air leak and then some.

I have been trying to find out what a faulty ACR does and a few have told me compression tests can figure that one out, I am sorry to tell yall, when my head gasket went it sounded like an air leak and then some.

When my head gasket went out I could hear it while rolling on the throttle. I'd be coasting along then open the throttle up all the way & you could hear a whinning noise. The dealer replaced the ACR while replacing both gaskets.

When my head gas went it was more like (I dont know what to say) a somewhat loud loss of air from the rear cyl, (fat lady farting at the opera?)
