If corporate customer service issued any kind of service identifier you should post it here. Others may be able to cite it as precedent when they're in the same position.
Like me. I'm going to be getting mine in when we get back from HS. I'll request permission from the mother ship to check it. I checked it several months ago, but without removing the cam plate, I don't know if the pinion bearing could camouflage it. With the top end already off, the job just got that much easier.
Might need to discuss cam swap if I can get permission for a runout check. Then it's a parts only cam swap, especially if I can put in a set of cams bought at 20% off.
Speaking about that, with the removal of the outer cam bearings, what provides the lateral support for the cams? I'm thinking they would be sliding around without the pressed in bearings to locate them. I haven't seen a set removed yet. Can someone please enlighten me?
