LOL Brian, Don't let him know he might have been wrong.
The shortest way is the one that gets you there the fastest! And I
always take the shortest way Ken! You should know that by now!

Thanks for the reassurance Brian. It was great riding that last leg with you. You're an "A" Group rider for sure!

Hey gang, Binx and I finally got home late last night. I started catching up and was waiting for Don to finish so I could get some pics up, but started falling asleep at the computer. I'll try not to duplicate, since we all got a lot of the similar shots.
I just want to say what a fantastic trip this was! I'm so glad we figured out a way to get down there after last Sat's fiasco!
Before I get going, I need to thank a few folks here. First and foremost, thanks Barry for getting me your brother's bike! Even though it was set up for a midget, I couldn't have done this without you!

The first day I rode it, after getting off the planes, then riding immediately after that with Harry and Rhino to lunch, in what turned out to be a 3 hour ride where the was no time for lunch, my back was in knots. Evidently Harry and Rhino need escorts to their Hotels. I guess they don't like to ride alone, or got tired of impressing each other. I hadn't eaten and was out at 4AM and the girls were starving. I guess after finding out we were an escort service instead of all just going to lunch as planned, Rhino's take was that I didn't like the bike I was loaned. He continues on with his delusions of reality I guess!

After lying in bed in agony for a few hours, Big Ed, Trish, Ken, Cheri and Binx dragged my ass to the Rendezvous for dinner with the Memphis group. And I was glad they did! Great to meet all those folks. What a great group!
Now I need to thank Ken most of all. Without his help, this entire trip would not be possible. After killing my back on that first outing, Ken was kind enough to offer to trade bikes for the ride to HS. We continued to play musical bikes the rest of the trip. It was nice riding Ken's SEUC, and that made it easier to adapt to the green Ultra Barry loaned me. So all was good in the riding department. And we got Binx out on Mon so she can spend a few days with Ken and Cheri in KY. She had a blast there. Binx ind Cheri even got matching BFF Tattoos together in KY! Thanks guys! It was great seeing youse again! And Ed and Trish too! We miss ya'll already!

I need to say thanks to all the others that offered me a bike. I musta got 12 offers within 4 hours of posting. All you people are incredible!
Thanks Mike for setting up Fri's ride thru the AK countryside. It was a wonderful ride, with beautiful views. I jumped out of the group for the last 60 miles and took the twisties of Rt 7 back to the hotel alone on Ken's SEUC. Ya'll know I had to get a solo Hoist Rock n Roll ride in somewhere, didn't ya?

Great ride to HS with Chip and Nancy from Memphis too! I will ride with these fine folks any day of the week! I don't need to mention the speed we were going. But I can say that everything you imagine about the way wee ride is true!

What a group we have here. Each and every one of you is better than the next. The chemistry of the people here is really something special. I need to thank all of you for changing my life since joining this site. I truly do love this place! Thanks Neal for making it all possible!
Well, as you know, I can go on and on about this trip, but the pics you saw speak for themselves. Here are some more. I'll post them uncaptioned. I'm nowhere near close as a creative narrator as Don. And Scarecrow, I'll miss you most of all!
Enjoy the pics!
Hoist!
