Well gang, ya'll been breaking my b@lls about graduating to an Ultra! You FD guys kill me. I'll start of by saying IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! :o

I got the opportunity to ride a few this week in HS, as my motor spit out my CR in NJ enroute to HS last Sat. I was fortunate enough to have such great friends here to be able to borrow an Ultra for this trip instead of missing it. And for that I can't thank everyone enough! :2vrolijk_21:

Here are my impressions, and no disrespect is meant here at all to anyone that rides one. I liked the radio and cigarette lighter! ;D But other than that, I'm not inpressed. Now I understand that this site is made up of mostly FD riders. And I'm not trying to slight anyone riding these type of bikes either. It's a great bike with a lotta great features. But it's not for me. Too top heavy. Too heavy overall. Too much fairing in front of you. It's just too much, period!

These things feel more crowded than the RK. I guess ya'll are used to it's seating position. But I couldn't get really comfortable on them. I was riding Ken's '07 SEUC and Barry's brother's '05, I believe, 95" Ultra. I'm used to hands higher, knuckles foward riding position. And having a full view in front of me, with nothing but road. I'm used to the center of gravity being much lower. Overall, I still felt I was on a 2-wheel convertible. The motorcycle felling is somewhat lost on me.

The SEUC's Leather Tourpak reminded me of my SERK's oversized glove compartments. They look great, but the shape and size makes them more for show than storage!

I guess this is why they make so many models. There's an asshole for every seat. And this asshole will stick with the SERK! ;D

Don't get me wrong though. I'd rather be on a FD than not riding at all! But given the chioce, I'll take the SERK every time! ;)

Ahhhhhmen..... Brother Hoist has spoken.  :jalapeno:

 I enjoyed my time on a geezer glide up in Davenport last month but I found it was a little cumbersome when moving slow.  I still want one but maybe the Road Glide Ultra.

I guess it takes some getting used to. I wasn't comfortable on BB's glide when I rode it. To each his own. Later,Q

Wasn't the SEUC created for the old men who don't like feeling cold whilst the SERK is for the more nimble and young amongst us  ;)

I've been waiting on this thread before I started my own thread, Impressions of a New Yawker.  ;D

I've known better than to try and convert you to a Dresser. You have an awesome bike and it handles great. Like I've said before, I've never ridden a bike that handles as well. Smooth, easy to handle, lighter and more of "just you and the road".

Even with that said, I've got just the bike I want and I'll keep it. I like to prop up my feet, crank the stereo, and cruise the highways.

Oh, yea, my impressions of a New Yawker:

It's sorta like the little brother you love but just want to beat up sometimes. LOL Love ya like a brother, would do anything to help you out, and you're always welcome in my house, but, whine too much, and Ed and I are gonna pick you up and tie you to a tree with your feet 3" off the ground.

Just the same brother, I'm just glad you had something to ride and made it to Hot springs.

The difference between RK & UC drivers is like the old joke[pg version]: old bull and young bull see large herd of cows; young bull says, "hey Pop, let's run down the hill and kiss a couple of them;" old bull replies, "No, son, let's walk down the hill and kiss them all".  Me and my SEUC are walking down the hill......

Hey Hoist. I did have a bike like yours and absolutely loved it.. Was always saying the same things you talked about. I now have an 07 SE Bagger. Got on it hated it, now love it. By the way its easier to like after getting it back with over 120 HP & 125TQ. I'm

Well, if you are not strong enough to handle it then I understand why you need a lighter bike.
