Anyone Tried This Yet?
« on: September 26, 2007, 07:52:08 PM »

I know someone whose Easy Pass went flying off the velcro mounts on his windshield. Gone forever! That always worried me too. Has anyone tried this product? It looks like good quality, and it appears to have quick connects, so you can remove it from you handlebars easily when you don't need it. What do ya'll think?

Hey Howie,
Long time since I've been able to get to the forum.  Work has been kickin' my you know what.  I don't have one of these but saw one on a dresser up in Gettysburg a couple of weeks back.  Looks like good quality stuff - pricey - but good quality.  I zip-tied mine to my GPS (Garmin 2610 with a Tourtec mount) when we went north this summer.  Worked great.  Take the whole setup off at night.
If you pick one of these up let me know how it works out.  I may go that way as well.
Best to Barrie,
Tony

Hey Tony, great to hear from you! How's it going? I'm hoping no news is good news! How're you feeling these days? How's the new bike doing? Hope you caught up on the trip to MV and that you and Phyllis can make it.

I'm thinking of trying one. Thought there would have been someone here who's already tried it. If I pick one up, of course I'll give ya'll my opinion. Ya'll know I have an opinion about everything! ::)

Howie,
Health's been fine, but been way too busy with work.  I've managed about 7500 miles on the bike since late May when I was finally released by the doc.  Love it!
Don't think we'll make it to MV - burned up so much of my vacation following the surgery.  When is it?

If you're not moving it from vehicle to vehicle why not just stick it inside the nacelle or inside the fairing?  Out of sight is out of everyone's mind.

Yeah Don, what Neal said. Damn things don't work half the time and you wait til they come over and swipe it by hand. I imagine people behind me getting a little annoyed while I'm taking apart and putting together my Nacelle at the toll gate! ::)

The Oklahoma system isn't on the same grid as what you use in the NE.  And it's the only one I keep as it's the only one I use with any regularity.  Have never had it miss as you describe.  I'd be annoyed.

Saw this happen with Howie.....of course he tried to do it himself and the officer told him to get back on his scoot :D

This whole thing only took 5 minutes

Can't understand why anyone would want to live where you have to pay to ride on the roads :nixweiss:
