Finally got a chance to go to a new range/firearms store that recently opened here in Birmingham. It was crowded this afternoon, but after a 20 minute or so wait, I got in. The owner gave me a box of 380 ammo for having to wait, so can't complain about that.
Got to break in the new Sig P238 SAS. This is truely a SWEET little gun!! 150 rounds of PMG FMJ in three different magazines, a box of 25 Hornady TPX, and a box of 25 Hornady Critical Defense. Not one single problem, even mixing them up a couple of times on purpose. The gun is very accurate, very controllable recoil, and comfortable in the hand. Shooting targets at 5 yards and 10 yards was no problem...the bad guy would be big time dead. I'm not even that great a shot, but was able to do tight groups wherever I chose to point, often in the same hole. I will try and take a picture of the last target to show how the Hornady ammo performed in this little gun.
Probably the nicest gun I've ever shot, though I don't have near the experience of some of you guys. I am very pleased with both the performance and the aesthetics of this weapon. Got several compliments on the gun and my shot placement from the Range Master. Got to love the 1911 features on a gun this small, and with my old raggedy eyes, I was fairly amazed at my accuracy. Highly recommend this weapon if you're looking for a nice 380 that is very concealable.

I was intentionally aiming and trying to group in particular zones. 12 rounds to the head, same to the chest, and to the stomach area. A couple in the right shoulder on purpose. Then a couple of wild ones, but overall I hit things I needed to hit.
