Long rides are what that bike and the owner needs now.

Jim,

Congrats on the new arrival!

I have had mine (08 SEUC - Canyon Copper & Stardust Silver).

Extended Warranty:  I never buy the extended warranty on anything....until now.  I think maybe reading about the problems other folks have had kinda spooked me, or maybe it was just a gut thing :nixweiss:, anyway I spent the $$ on the extended warranty for my new bike.  I hope I don't need it >> I consider it "peace of mind".  I bought the extra 5 years >> may not keep the bike quite that long, but if I do I don't have to worry about it.

That is a beautiful bike.  If it was me, my trip would be all but ruined waiting to get home!  Enjoy the ride...

Thats the best looking anniversary model and the best looking out the SEUC cvo lineup this year.  Looks great, much better than the casper and the red baron!

Congrats on your new Duracell!  Like someone else posted, I believe it's the first one we've seen on this site.  Mine is SUPPOSED to ship this week.  It's getting my hopes up anyway.  I would definitely recommend the extended warranty.  I've never bought one before, but with all the problems people have been having with their 110s, I know I'm going to buy the warranty!   :2vrolijk_21:
I also am nuts about the colors on this bike.  That's one of the big reasons for me to trade.  I'm just hoping the MoCo has resolved the leaking gasket problems, excessive crank run-out problems, heat issues, etc.  (If not, I will do what is required to fix the problems.  I plan on keeping this one for the long haul.)  The only thing that pisses me off is that I won't have but a couple of days to ride the thing until spring.  We'll probably have snow within the next couple of weeks where I live.

Congrads on the new bike.  With the issues on these bikes buy the extended warranty.  I think Chicago HD gives 20% off.

Congrats on the new ride. :D  As far as the extended service contract, I'll echo what was said earlier.  Depending on what mods you do or are planning to do to the engine, may drive that decision.  But then again, even with your engine not covered, due to non-warrantyable mods, think towards getting it anyway.  Don't know how much the new ECM would cost to replace, but if your heated grips go bad, $225, if your heated seat goes bad, assuming you don't replace it with an aftermarket seat, $899;  HK radio goes bad, $1500; ABS brake system  $???.  All of these costs can sneak up after the warranty.  I bought the 7 year extended service for my 07 and the wheel/tire coverage.  One flat tire, due to whatever cause will pay for that coverage.  IMHO opinion, I'd shop around, but get the extended service contract.  I paid $1789 for 7 years with wheel/tire coverage included.
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Congrats!!! I have one on order and can't wait to get it.  How would describe the copper on the CVO compared to the copper top bikes?  If you are planning to keep it for a long time I would seriously consider the xt warrenty, but shop around.

Many safe miles of riding!!

:huepfenlol2:Again, congrats on the new scoot..  My buddy Bob and I are still waiting for our anniversary bikes.  We were scheduled to ship on 9/7, then 9/28, then 9/25 and now thay tell us 11/16.. WOW this sucks. We are dealing with 2 different dealers 60 miles apart; however, the ship dates are always the same.  :nervous: Enjoy your bike!!! Wish mine was here, the weather in OH has been great.
