Anniversary rescheduled again!
« on: October 04, 2007, 03:25:46 PM »

My buddy Bob and I are still waiting for our anniversary bikes.  We were scheduled to ship on 9/7, then 9/28, then 9/25 and now thay tell us 11/16........ WOW this sucks! We are dealing with 2 different dealers 60 miles apart; however, the ship dates are always the same.   :nixweiss: Wish mine was here, the weather in OH has been great.

I just got the word today that my bike would be shipped next week.  That's another week from the last time I was told.  This is the 5th delay.   :cucumber:   It is supposed to snow this weekend.  :carrot:  I may not be able to get the bike home before the season is over.   :2vrolijk_21:  This is my good news! :huepfenlol2:
The dealer asked me if I wanted a white bike that just came in unexpectedly.   I said I'd wait for the bike I traded for.  I gave them my USE before the Sturgis Rally.  -Still don't have the new bike.   :-\
Maybe next year will be a better year.  -Just me and my Duracell leaker!! :huepfenjump3:

Did you get a VIN? If so, it should be on a truck & trackable.

Don't know what to tell you. The dealer called and now said that my bike was shipped on Tuesday 10/2/2007.  As you know, it was due to ship on 9/7, then 9/28, then 9/25, then 11/16 and now it was shipped.  Don't know what to say!!!!!!!!!  I will withold comment until it is sitting in my garage!

 >:( :( :o  Was at our local HOG meeting at the dealer on Monday night and they did not have a VIN or ship comfirmation on my new Duracell. Called me yesterday afternoon and claim that they just got off the phone with the MOCO. My scoot was scheduled on 9-7, then 9-27, 9-25, 11/16 then they called me last Wednesday (10/3) and said it shipped on 10-2; I was expecting the bike this week. Yesterday I was told that it did not ship on 10-2 and is "IN Production" and that it should ship on 10-15????????????????????????  :nixweiss:  :confused5:

frustrating, isn't it!   It seems like the secret is the vin#.  for your info., this is my story.  my duracell was ordered on july-25th.  build date was set for sept. 21.  later to sept 17, then back to the 21st.  I called the salesman yesterday and had him check his moco computer.  good news (i hope) the order now has a vin#, and an invoice date to the dealer of oct 5.  it should be shipped this week and arrive soon.  You can call nearly any business in the US and talk to someone that can give you an acurate status of an order,
appoligize for your trouble, and thank you for being their customer.  We all love harleys, but the moco has lost touch with their loyal customers $$$$$.
No more HOG rallys for me...

this MIGHT be good news, i think something is in the works about fixing the rear head gasket leak.  so MAYBE they are trying to fix this before they ship..

one can only hope !!

I'm hoping in the same boat you are that the problems will be fixed...  Mine was (and still is) scheduled for 8/3 ship date!  I can't get any answer out of my sales manager, other than "I've never seen anything like this before".

My FLHTCUSE3 was delayed from 17 October to 25 October.  My first delay, but without a VIN number I am not holding my breath.

You are more optimistic than me thinking that they are holding your bike until they implement the solution to the oil leak problem.  The weather this past week has been 80+, I expect that when they start calling for snow my bike will arrive.  Am I a pessimist or a realist - only time will tell!

I'm somewhat in the same boat.  I ordered my 105th color July 10th with a September 28th ship date.  Nothing has happened yet.  Can't get a straight answer from Sales Manager as he doesn'
t have a clue.  As someone said, any other business would be out of business with this type of customer service.

The dealer here has one coming in any day now.  It shipped on the 29th, I think it was, and the paper work was scheduled to arrive today, so the bike usually follows within a day or two.  That bike is sold, however.

They have a second anniversary CVO Ultra that, as of today, is scheduled to ship on November 9 and that bike is not spoken for yet.  If you are interested in the bike (MSRP dealer), send me a PM and I'll get you some contact info.  According to the salesman I spoke with, no anniversary bikes will be produced after the first of the year.  Sounds sorta strange to me, but if that is true, time is running out to get one.

On a side note, that same salesman had heard nothing of problems with head gaskets on 110s, so who knows if what he said about the anniversary production ending is correct. :nixweiss:

103th,

Thanks for the help; however, I know that I do have one on the way. Besides, my daughter worked at the local dealer in the past I have a great relationship with them. I also have a deposit on a second one at another MSRP dealer in the area, who would be happy if I don't take the bike (has three waiting behind me). Let one of the guys that don't have one locked up take this one.

Again thanks! I've also been told that they are going to make one run of 1800 and then they're done. Makes some common sense! But were talking about the MOCO, so who knows?????

Nonetheless, the yo-yo effect on ship dats is something to laugh about!

Maybe we'll all own a "Collector's Item"?   ::)

Seriously, we really like the colors on this bike and I know everyone who has one or has one coming will also enjoy it.  But it is true, when they're gone, they're gone...
