Fascinating article -- thanks for sharing.  I wonder how often 110 riders notice the engine going into high heat mode, where the idle speed dips down to 950?

i don't think it evere comes out of high heat mode.

It's actually something the dealer can turn on or off with the digitech, they will do it once for free.

There's two different scenario's, one is the optional download that shuts the rear cylinder down at a specific temperature.  The second is in all ECM code to start to skip injector pulses at a certain temperature which reduces the idle to 950 I believe which remains that way until the trottle is activated.
This is info gained from various posts & articles.  Can someone verify?

Can't say for sure, but the information originally put out by the MoCo indicated that the previous temp management system was eliminated for the '07, replaced by the optional EITMS.  See attachment.
