Sorry guys but no joy on the painted parts in stock anywhere.  NYC Harley, Detroit Harley and Corpus all reported something on hand.  Just for grins called each of them and struck out though.  One had both parts but they were for a job in their shop right now.  The other two were just phantom inventory.  Sorry.

Oooooo Nooooooo, mr. bill.  Thanks for the effort, TwoLane.  Now what?  Does this mean there are none to be had or just that they will wait to get so many orders before painting more?  Any ideas?   :nixweiss: spyder

Spyder, that was just stock on hand in dealerships.  Warehouse stock might be present.  I've ordered paint before that was for older stock, but still an available part number, and it came in in the normal "4-12 week" time frame.  No way they collected six orders in the span.  So it seems they will fill orders at need.

Thanks for trying, Don!

Just got off the phone with Jenni at Charlie's H-D.  All she needed was my VIN and $698.40 (still  :o :o :o) and it's on its way.  ETA is 2-3 weeks.

Spyder, her phone number is: 304-523-1340.  I told her to expect your call.

That's good news Brian.  It's nice when someone makes it easy.  Good luck on the time frame being met.  You guys have me spooked though.  Now I'm trying to convince myself I don't need a spare front fender.  Sure as hell I'd get one I'd suddenly need it though.  It's that karma stuff, bad juju.

Hey, Spyder, what did Jenni's price end up being for the outter fairing?  I'm thinking I need one of them, plus the both lowers, too.  With the miles has come some rock pings that I would like to eliminate and start fresh with.  The ol' Huckleberry won't be getting ridden as much now with the SERG in the stable.  Might as well freshen 'er up!

You guys are cruel.  I've already got a full set of lowers that were painted to match when the trailer got painted.  Also the original fairing with all its divots that a good painter will touch up over the winter.  Tempted to get a front fender though.  Just to complete spares for the areas that get the most debris damage.

It's what we do. :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2:

Say, if you need something to push you over the edge, just come park in my driveway anytime prior to my wife backing out of the garage. :nervous:  (She parks on the left side. ;))

price for the ft. fairing was: five thirty six.  Almost two hundred less than the ft. fender.....just don't make no sense when you look at the amt./type of paint on ea.  HD must really be proud of their old FL fender.  :-* har!  spyder

That price on the fender is obscene.  Makes the price of the outter fairing seem almost reasonable. :nixweiss:  Think I'll see how it goes with the fender here, wait until after the holidays, and then chase the other parts.

That's what I'm after, Spyder.  I actually wouldn't mind going to the '05-up vented style of lowers when I do it.  They used to list the "BKK" color for those a year or two ago, and though I did not see it on the website just now, they may still be available in the candy cobalt.  Trouble with that is, then you have the added expense of having to buy the new glove boxes, too.  Decisions, decisions. :nixweiss:
