The Monday Before Maggie Valley ...
« on: October 19, 2007, 06:34:13 PM »

... I had the BEST track day of my life ...

The guy in the red T-Shirt (#208) is my "coach" ...

You'll see him waving me by so he can evaluate me from behind several times ... and showing me the race line from the front (essentially towing me around) in the shots where I'm behind him.

It looked like this:  http://www.magicratproductions.com/Pix/FLVids/WideSession4/WideSession4.html

I was rockin that joint.  LOL.  :pepper:

Pat,
You sure know how to have fun!  Awesome riding my friend.  That "coach" can really ride!

Yup.

The shots where I keep up with him in the corners are me "doing good".

The ones where he pulls away are me screwing up.  LOL.

He waits for me to catch up in the straight sections.

The other guys in red shirts are other people's coaches.  We get in each other's way a bit, sometimes.

Cool video and great training to finesse your skills.

Not a lot of tracks of that style here where I live. But we still set up such training from time to time. They help a lot to show your limitations.

I also do motocross. That really helps to feel relaxed even in extreme situations. And you can do it in winter.

Rat that video was awesome. I wished I was young again so I could try that, but today I got another year older and I will watch from the office chair. And by the way, I'm going to need a new chair soon , as everytime I watch your vid's, I find myself leaning into the corners with you and have worn out the bearings in the chair.  :D ;D :huepfenlol2:

Boy, I'll say so!  Very good.......I just loved the way you and your 'coach' blew by those guys, him on one side and then you on the other.  I swear, a couple of times I thought you were 'setting him up to pass coming out of a corner.....I thought:'not good to gobble up the 'coach like that'.  Nice track...great chicane and how long is that straightaway?  Well done!  :2vrolijk_21: har!  spyder

Thks.  If I woulda tried to pass him, I would have ended up landscaping.  LOL.

That straight section is prolly .35 of a mile.

I hit 155 - 160 on it routinely.

Rat, you and your "coach" are awesome riders, that's a really cool view for those of us who have never done anything like that. I'm glad I don't have a rocket-ship like you are riding, I think I would probably be dead are at least be missing some body parts! Keep those videos coming. I've been showing them to the guys at work and now they ask me every once in a while --- "has he got anything new out yet?"  Thanks again.
