Bubba_T in for reconstructive surgery
« on: October 21, 2007, 06:37:33 PM »

Bubba_T (Ken) whom some of you met in Nelson goes in for reconstructive surgery on the leg that got crushed in his accident of two years ago. He was scheduled for the last phase from the original accident ( some work on his knee) when they discovered the rebuild on his leg had not healed right. He had shattered that leg and had a rod inserted and bone grafts. The rod had worked itself out of alignment, so they've got to go in and start over again. They will be taking bone marrow out of his hips and inserting it into the femur when they redo it. He told me this morning he'll be under the knife fo over 6 hours. His biggest worry is staph as that's in the news everywhere these days. Bubba doesn't spend much time on the site, so I'll post his address here for get well wishes . He's one tough Cajun SOB, but I know hearing from some of you will warm his heart.

Thank you for posting. He will be in our thoughts. Hopefully they will fix it right this time.

On another note:  I hope you are not being affected by the wildfires out there.

Enjoyed meeting Ken a lot this summer in Nelson, and yes, I think your assessment of him being one tough cajun is about right.  May his recovery from surgery be speedy and complete.

Sorry to hear that Bubba T is in for some more work.  Great guy and it was super to meet him and the southern crew in Nelson, I'll drop a line for a speedy and complete recovery by snail mail.
