How do you carry the race tuner chip around?

I have a question!  How do you carry the race tuner chip around?  The dealership told me to always have it with me on the road in case of problems.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=nervous.gif] Of course I don't want to carry the big box it came in, but I don't want it to get lost, or damaged on the bike. What have others done?

Do you mean the HD Race Tuner interphase cable, & CD? If so I just keep all of the cables connected to each other and along with the Software I place it in my storage pouch that I have attached to the inside of my tourpack cover. If I travel without the tour pack I just put it into the saddlle bag. Of course it is not plugged into the bike and/or laptop, lol.

Don't.  Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me...ECM itself is re-programmed by the race tuner....it ain't goin bad and if it does, odds are you'll need more than the tuner chip to fix it.

All you really need to carry, if anything, is the ECM Controller (the little black box about 3 inches long).  Any dealer will have the cables, etc.   I keep mine in the little pouch that's sewn into my saddlebag liner.

I bought the tour pack organizer and put it in one of the pouches.   Have never had a problem with it or it being there.

The other choice would be to get the organizer for the side bags and put it in there if I didnt already have a tour pack.

Had a race tuner since 03 and have never carried any thing with me. I have never had to have it DelNel [smiley=beerchug.gif] PS If it ever did happen that I would need one I guess I would just buy a new race tuner kit rather than carry it with me.
