The heads and jugs have been sent out to Diamond heads for the treatment. Will post some pics when they get back.

Picked up the motor from the powdercoater, well actually he brought the parts to my Uncles house for me. Now that is what I call service. Great looking job. Cases are silver and jugs and heads are cobalt blue. I had the heads and jugs done with a clear coat over the blue. It gives it a deeper color and should be alot easier to clean.

Installed all new bearings and races in the cases. Pressed the crank into the case and bolted the two halves together. Started looking at all the other parts and damn if the TB doesn't have a crack in it. This will be the third time this TB will be sent back to Horsepower Inc.

Put the trans gears back into the case. Now just waiting for the new belt to come in to the Stealer. They tell me it was ordered 3 weeks ago, yea right.

So now at a stand still again, waiting for parts to get shipped.

Cool Brian, but still :worthless: of the heads and jugs! ;D ;D ;D

Well Wednesday we finally got the fuel tank back from the painter and installed it. Put 1 gallon of fuel in her and fired her up. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Did 3 heat cycles on wed and 4 more on Thursday. Today we did 3 more. Everything was going fine till 5 pm when Scott, the one with the tatoos in the earlier pictures, called me with some bad news.......The headlight wont work. The plug going to the headlight melted. Seems this is a common occurance. The dealer carries 12 of that plug in stock. :nervous:

10 minutes later all was back together again :2vrolijk_21:

When I find the camera :nixweiss: I'll post some pics

Scott said that he probably replaces 6 of them a month. That is why they keep 12 in stock.

On the trip I had to Nelson, one of the problems I had was that the breather cover came loose. When we stopped to tighten it up, the nut that is welded into the filter cover broke loose. When we got home I brazed the nut back into the cover. Shouldn't have that problem again.
