Winter is here, snow level is suppose to get down to 200ft by Saturday. Have fun with the new toy. I hope I do not need to use mine this year since we moved away from the snow in the Gorge. Have to get friends to check on the house up there.

I will have a good test as well since there is apparently a foot or more at the house now, accumulating in the last week.

That was something I'd wondered about Rog.  What is your plan for the weekends when you get there and can't get in to the snow blower?

I solved this problem as I aged. Started young in Alaska with lots of snow.  :coolblue:    Then moved to Washington state some snow a little older.  :nixweiss:         Now upper middle age in Calif no snow but, in a 1 hour drive I can be in snow.   :mango:

Not sure it would be bad enough to not be able to get in, but whe I got the Friday night the neighbor had been over with his Kubota and plowed, however, do not fear the Honda got a work out on Sunday morning........check this out

Never really missed a beat, I fouled a plug though and had to pull it after 4 or five hours, may have had the choke out a tiny bit, not sure, ran great after I cleaned the plug though.

Four of five hours?  Roger, if you're spending that much time moving snow on a weekend that's supposed to a weekend off you didn't get a large enough piece of equipment.

That was a several times out and I was having fun learning how to best clear the drive.

My biggest issue was I wanted to cut it donw and the work crews had compacted it over the week.  mostly I was just dicking around with it.

The three cuts that would accomodate moving cars and getting in and out would only take 20 minutes tops.

From Friday evening to Sunday Morning we had about 20 inches is all. :2vrolijk_21:

Now I see why your bikes hibernate during the winter.

Talk about your good timing there Roger.  Glad you got to go out and have fun with the new blower.  We had bought a little one - not even in the same ball park as yours - when we lived in Northern VA.  The couple of times we used it, it paid for itself, but it has never been pulled out of the shed since we moved to Central VA.  It is fun learning how to use the tools that blow.  We had lots of practice this weekend and last week with our leaf blower.

Funny you should mention the leaf blower.

I brought mine home form over the mountain yesterday, much more chance to use it here over the next four or five months than over in the snow.

Did I mention I had an audience?

Probably reason they didn't offer to help or help is because one of them is probably on the way to the taxidermist today. ;D

Hard to find good neighbors sometimes.
