We knew the cold front was dropping down.  Could watch it from the arctic on down.  So it's not as if it was any great surprise.  Still....  Any day that goes from the mid 70s with tshirts and flip flops to the middle teens with sleet preceeded by freezing rain surprises the hell out of something whether you know it's coming or not :huepfenlol2: .

But it's going to warm up 30*, it'll be around 18* later!!  Like I said earlier, it was 56* on Saturday, went for a ride.

The deep freeze hit the Northwest too.  Looks like below freezing for the better part of two weeks with on and off snow.

We had the "Tale of Two Fronts" yesterday.  I got out and rode a little Saturday.  Temp was up in the low 60's, but very windy.  Then yesterday afternoon I had to do a roof repair after the wind Saturday blew off about four shingles.  I carried the ladder up to the house, got the tools and shingles ready around 1:30 - the temp was 74 degrees.  Then I had to go in to celebrate my granddaughter's 5th birthday.  Came back out at 3:00 to get up on the roof and the wind had switched to the north and the temp was down to 34 degrees.  I didn't stay on the roof very long.

It is now 17 degrees here..... burrr.  I ain't liking this!

Now... That ain't right!  65 degrees in NYC and we are freezing our butts off in Oklahoma.

You better get out and take advantage of the warm temps today, because I'm guessing the cold is heading your way.

13 below here this morning! Too cold to even putz on the bike in the garage unless I invest in a garage heater (under serious consideration).

13 below... I can't figure out why anyone lives up north during the winter  :nixweiss:

24 degrees here.  Had a little ice this morning... just enough to really mess up traffic.  Okies don't do well on ice and snow.  Forecast shows back up to 50 degrees on Thursday, but back down below freezing on Sunday & Monday (I really hate winter!)
