Rivet gun
« on: December 05, 2007, 09:51:06 AM »

Well, I tore down the tour pak for paint and noticed the funny rivets on the hinges.
Does anyone have the rivet gun need to install these hinges?
Does anyone know where I could get one?

Thanks

I would just use a pop-rivet gun with a good A/C grade rivet.

I believe I have the right size for those ....   uhhh,  wait.  which rivets, exactly are you talking about?

I don't enjoy going to the dealership for anything more than looking at the new bikes when they come out. SO it pains me to have to have them do anything for me. In this case the unusual rivet tool isn't worth purchasing for the one time use. Than again I've never looked to see what one cost. I can add it to my rivet gun and nut-sert gun collection. :)

There are some nice kits ~$300.
I know this sounds dirty but....Hansen Rivet has hand squeezer kits with cupped and rolled dies for truss head rivets.

I snoop around the choppah shops and try to beg use for beer...
