Thanks for your answer but it's not these parts.

For stock CU it's 68172-06 (see pic)

Judging by the description on the HD site the up to 2005 pac is different then the 2006 and up. Can anyone confirm?

Nice to see the part is no longer restricted.  Here's Zanotti's price:

68072-08CTF  ( Quantity 1 * Price205.92) $ 205.92
Shipping is $ 14.70
Total $ 220.62

The '08 light bar is simply the Ultra light bar color-matched to the SE Ultra instead of the unpainted black plastic.  It's a simple paint project (assuming the matching color is available) with the red lenses well masked.  This is my '04 police model EG Ultra TP with the painted Ultra light bar:

My local HD store has an '08 in stock and I'll take a look at the light bar installation to confirm.

Is your light bar for the 08 CVO Ultra? Or the correct one for your model year.

Classic45, here is the link to Zanotti's HD:

https://www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/partLookUp.html

The light bar in my TP is the version for '88-'05 TP's, PN 68012-88E; the version for '06-'08 TP's is PN 68172-06 and is "Original Equipment on Ultra Classic Models."  Page 507 of the '08 HD P&A Catalog.

I stopped by my dealership just before closing and took a pretty good look at the SE Ultra box and noticed it has different wiring/connectors at the tail lights from what I have with my older box.  I'm curious so I'll stop by tomorrow and see about taking some pics of the SE Ultra and '08 FLHTCU for comparison.

Wiring and connectors ain't chit, that is easy to overcome. I'm wondering if the box shape changed and hence the reason for the new light assembly.

I would like to put the lights on, only if I can add the screaming eagle insert.

Anyone know what the physical difference is between these two?

Anyone know what the physical difference is between these two?

Personally, I wouldn't rely on a Forum answer to the question before buying a 200+ dollars accessory, but that's just me.

The definitive answer is easily found.  Just call or visit a Harley store's parts counter and ask the parts guy to do a kit breakdown of the two PN's above.  The kit breakdown will tell you if the plastic light bar is the same PN or not.

Good luck with your project.

That placard is very thin, so I'm using the silver one on mine, without UC corner lights, on the rear of the KTP. I haven't seen pics of mine yet, but I'm hoping it works. ;)

That's the one Miker.

I know the tour pac is a little different. The only thing I can though is the sidelights come back further, to the edge of the box. The earlier ones were inset on the sides.

I really don't care for adding the lights, but it will add some visibility, fill up the big empty space and the plaque in the center would make it worthwhile.
