Duracell # 861 is in the garage
« on: December 17, 2007, 11:09:19 AM »

Got home @ 12:15 Friday night from a business trip in Alabama....stopped at Foster's HD and the had a 2008 Duracell on the floor!!!!  I got the call on Wednesday that my Duracell has arrived at Cox's HD in Mansfield, Pa, about a four hour drive from Matyland where I live.  Weather Saturday was supposed to be real bad, snow & ice.  Got up at 5:30 Saturday morning and looked at the weather channel....looked like the Northeasterner was not going to hit unitl Saturday night.  Got dreesed, hooked up the trailer and headed North!!!!  My wife said I was nuts heading North with the pending storm, obviously she does not understand the thrill of picking up a new sled that was supposed to be in in November!!!!  Got to Mansfield at 11:30 and saw my Duracell for the first time parked in the service department delivery area.  Realized that my number is 861!

Here is a picture of the dealership as I walked in....

Everyone at Cox's Harley Davidson made this buying experience a great one.  Austin the Sales Manager did every thing right and communicated with me all the way when the delays started happening.  Steve, the owner did the delivery and you could tell he really appreciated my business.  Great Dealership with great people!

1,000 service is free and they have a frequent buyers program also.

Congrats Napalm,

It's a wonderful feeling to have your baby home finally... Now you can spend the rest of the winter adding accessories to it!  No matter how much they put on them, there's always more to add.

Have fun & congratulations!

I'm glad to see the picture of the CVO Anniversary with the 105 Ultra.  The colors really are a lot different.  Congrats on the new ride.  What'd you do with the cherry jester?

Traded the Cherry Jester in on the Duracell.  It was sitting in the service department when I picked up the new ride with a sold tag on it.  It didn't last long!

I bought my SE Fat Boy from Austin, very nice guy, great dealership!  Dont tell him I said this, but he took 500 off MSRP on mine and 1,000 off MSRP on my Dad's.  I recently called him to inquire about another bike, before I bought my SEEG, he wouldn't budge at MSRP though.  They didn't try to mess around with DOC fee's etc.  Highly Recommended, I just wish they were closer to Georgia!!!
