Tool kit
« on: December 17, 2007, 06:01:50 PM »

Just taking inventory of things to sell on Ebay when I came across a tool kit from my 05 Ultra. Now I have noticed that the MoCo no longer provides us with one. I guess that 2008 model need no adjustments and will never brake.Or do you think that harley may think they can get anouther $80 out of us? Good gift for Christmas.  KB

I think only the SEUC's are coming with the kit.  My V did not come with one, 'cause there's no where to put it!!  Probably only bikes with TP's get the tool kit supplied. :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

On this subject, my CUSE2 came with the "deluxe" - I guess CVO only - version of the toolkit, entirely different contents than comes with the ordinary FLHTCU kit.  But to my amazement, there's no rear axle spanner!  :nixweiss:  So, is it missing from everybody's "deluxe" kit, or just mine?

Mine came with a disclaimer I found under the seat. It said "If you want a good running motor that doesn't leak, DO IT YOURSELF! We're not taking any of our precious time to figure your problems out. We have our own problems!" ::) ;D

If you get a package of oil absorbent pads in your tool kit, you get at least one "free" head gasket, rear jug.

Oops!  I forgot that you guys call a spanner a "wrench" over there, in case anyone wondered what I meant.

You know....   my grandpappy flew B-17's in the big one, he said they always knew when they got over Scotland by the white strips hanging all around the houses...   He didn't understand because the Scot's he worked with seemed like stand up guys....     Turned out it was the washed toilet paper they were drying on the line!!!

sorry, I had to add that....   He always thought it was the funniest joke he knew.

ps...   Grandma's scottish.

 :jack:

PPS...  mine came with a spanner.  But it doesn't fit the axle nut.  It's too big!!!!
