I picked up the new Ultra on Saturday.  What a Christmas present to myself !! 

I've got my Garmin (under the tree) and I have an order coming from Chicago HD to trim her out a bit more.  I have my Clearview to install, plus the shorty J&M's I took off of the Jester.  I also have the Hawg-Wired "plug and play" coming from HD-Dude to help me bring out a little more sound up front.

So far I've only been able to get a few more miles on her due to holiday commitments, but with no work this upcoming week, she will be heading for her first service in no time.

I know it's not a factory original CVO, but I guess I could call say it came out of "Cobaltman's Vehicle Operations" special production group.   Perhaps y'all will let me hang around here a little longer.

That is a beautiful bike!
The Harley shop here has one just like it and I look at it everytime I go in.
Especially like the painted inner fairing.
They are running a painted inner fairing special here.
For $350.00 they will paint the inner fairings vivid black and clear coat them.
Have both 03 Classics scheduled in their line up.
Thinking really hard about the sinister blue inner fairing on the SERG
But back on subject, it's a beautiful bike!

Thnaks Chip.  So far so good.  I too really  like the inner fairing paint, as it makes it stick out in a crowd.

You can bet I'll take care of her.  I think I'm going to read the Glare product thread and order some a supply for this bike.

I'm also still looking for either a s/b 2003 RK or Heritage.

Looking good Bro!  Congrats on the XMas present.  Ya know you don't have to worry about not having a CVO to be on here.  Stick around ... we're all here because of our love for motorcycling and HD.  Sweet looking maching...enjoy.

Geez,

I used Longhorn this time.  My last bike (non cvo) I bought here was at American Eagle.  Great experience with both.  The new store at Longhorn is fantastic.  They also offered me all the money on my CVO when I thought I was going to trade her in.  I ended up selling her outright, so I didn't need them.  They were $3-5K over what some of the other stores, both local and within a 100 miles, were offering on the trade for the Jester.  I also got $700 off of the labor due to a special they are conducting.

I have a bud who is looking to trade his 2007 CVO Dyna in this month. They also gave him a very fair trade in value.

Worth a stop if your looking to get rid of a CVO for all of us Dallas area folks.  (I'm not associated with either store, just passing on a good experience)

Thanks Spyder.  I think I'll have to keep the cobalt tag, at least until I sell her in the spring    It's too much money sitting around doing nothing.  Great boat, but the family is losing interest, so she will have to go to make room for another bike

Thanks folks.  Looking forward to racking up the miles after Christmas.  Need to get the insurance changed over and still waiting on my stuff from Chicago Harley.

Congratulations on the new Ultra!  Great looking ride, and your personal touches are right on target.

Once I got my Ultra home, I picked up on a few mods that had always inspired me from looking at the CVOs.  Specifically removing the front and rear bumpers along with the dual bars encasing the saddlebags.  Yes, it gives up some protection removing the bars/bumpers; but IMO it really opens up the clean lines of the Ultra!
