New Year Resolutions

It's 2008! Have you made your New Year's resolution? I never carry through, so I don't make them any more. I just hope to be happy and healthy in the year ahead. How 'bout you?

Same here, Janine.  I know myself well enough now that I don't make promises to myself I know I won't keep.  I do plan on doing a bit more walking in the coming year since they have built some nice walking paths within 1/2 mile of my house...both me and the new puppies will benefit from that!!

Just staying healthy and happy with what I have is all I hope for.

definitely to be healthier.  I lost a brother nearly two years ago to heart attack at 46.  I'd like to avoid that.  Losing some weight and exercising is the least I can do and I'll feel better for it.

It was sick.  First night I hooked it up thought I was pretty hot stuff.  Really liked the boxing game.  Against the bot training competitors I was kicking some serious butt.  They got gradually better but I won ten straight bouts.  Eight by K.O.

Then a kid that's five in February plays it with me yesterday.  She does this Iron Butterfly hop, jump and swing thing and 20 seconds in to the first round knocks me on my ass.  Knockout in the third round after four knock downs.  It was humiliating.

I resolve to get back on my diet that I ditched at Thanksgiving.  :o

I was doing so well; lost about 15 lbs and got my cholesterol way down, and then the holidays came around.  All the gooood food started teasing me....you know how it just calls your name.  And the chocolate.  Oh, the chocolate..... :-*

Anyway, 2008 is here now and I am getting back on track (at least until the first dinner ride comes up....did I mention that I really love BBQ!)

  Good luck with the no smoking resolution. It is tough for the first few days, but gets easier.
I will be cigarette free 2 years come March 31.
