Damn, the more I hear the more I want to just stick with the ole 103". Sure seems like there was inadequate testing done on the 110" along the line.

Yeah, you would think & I've never heard anything negative about the 103". When I started seriously looking in '06, the 103" was the biggest engine that H-D ever put on a production bike. My plan was to buy a '07 RK Classic w/the new 96" & then I found the CVO thing on H-D's website. I thought, wow a 110" engine. How bad that would be? Unfortunately, pretty bad right now.
I'm pretty confident that H-D will step up though & that's only because I try to avoid thinking negative. Just hope it doesn't take too long for them to find the end solution as there's a lot of us just hanging there in the wings.
If you look at AIM's forum (see link below) that was noted on this site by Chief on 12/10/07, it was posted over 4 months ago on 8/31/07 by the poster 207FLHTCUSE. That's awhile ago & I question how quickly anyone moved on this.
http://www.aimag.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1160Granted, it was good that AIM put this in their Feb-2008 issue but their reply was not very encouraging. Back to your original point, I really wonder what kind of testing was done on the 110". Why did they have to increase over the 103" anyway as I don't believe it was around that long on the SEs, was it? We'll see eventually.
