Mi amigo JC...I am going to NorCal so is your turn going to the Key West CVO GTG 2009.waiting for you

I AM READY TO ORGANIZE THIS RIDE...........Logistics: I will take care everything right here (hotels, restaurants, routes, etc). Anyone else setup the date..........I only need some ideas and let's move on

April is a great time of year for that ride. Our northern friends can get out of their driveways easily and it's warm but not hot in FL.

Pickup rides could be down either, or both, coasts, converging in South Beach for the ride down. There are tons of places to stay in KW too. Sounds like a great time to me.

sounds like a great idea to me! a few years ago i shipped my bike from so cal to miami and rode to key west then back to daytona and jacksonville. rode home to so cal via south route thru texas and az.  beautifill ride to key west but a zillion cops

It's a hike from Jax. A tick over 1k mikes if you go I-95. If you go through the state trying to get lost (like we did), it adds a bit more to it.

We stayed in a great spot just a block from the Southern most point, plus a short walk Duval street. Prices were'nt too bad, plus there were very few folks there. I'm not sure the times to avoid in the Keys...I bet it can get really busy down there.

This is one of my favorite places to stay when I am there..Close to everything but quiet enough if thats what you want too.  It is a tough "crawl" back from the "bight".

Miker...that's pretty bad...

When I first got my bike in September '05 we rode up to Savanna from Jax. You couldn't even determien the color of my bike cause of those damn lovebugs...they are a pain to get out and off your bike.

They also appear sometime in the Spring....is it May..??  I can't remember, but they do hit twice a year in Florida...
