Miker...that's pretty bad...

When I first got my bike in September '05 we rode up to Savanna from Jax. You couldn't even determien the color of my bike cause of those damn lovebugs...they are a pain to get out and off your bike.

They also appear sometime in the Spring....is it May..??  I can't remember, but they do hit twice a year in Florida...

Yup, May too just not as bad...There are still all sorts of squishers, spatters, and various other bio-diverse criters to smush here year long!  Just the Love bugs acidic innerds will destroy chrome and clear coat in hours..

Just not in september!

That does not look like a fun time cleaning up after an enjoyable trip.

When is the least "buggy time"?

The beautiful mini-season between Thanksgiving and New Years, before the snowbird invasion. January too.
I caught a fairing load of little squishers on my ride with Jorge from Stuart to Del Ray Saturday, but they clean up.
It won't get too bad til May, then...

I've been in Stuart and the area several times, just never noticed the bug problem, of course I was always in a car.

Along the coast things are usually better than when going inland cross state...

Growing up in Stuart, it was sporadic. Some years we would hardly see any at all. Most years there were some. Some years were TERRIBLE.

We didn't have them for years but they migrated south from around Ocala, where they were really bad. It's a crap shoot.

Duane you know that is Dave's Bike and he cleaned it very well !  I am not sure what he used but he made it look like it never happened. He clothes looked just like that I was A BSR so he got it all I only felt a few on my hands yuck.

Way down there...

Hey There!

That's a great looking bike to find only 90 mikes from Cuba!

Here's my wife and I in the same spot last winter...

With another foot of snow last night, I wish I was there now!

Our weather for the last 3 days at this time; 8:30 am

Monday        8
Tuesday      19
Wednesday  55

If the radar didn't look like it does below, and the wind wasn't blowing a gale right now (it is steady at over 25 MPH) I would go out for a ride today
