I'm on number 3 and I think they all skip.  I think the tech guy may be full of sh..t since mine skips whether parked, moving or any combination thereof.  IMO, the problem is in a very cheap unit that HD has elected to put in the bikes.  Instead of trying number 4, I'm going with a top shelf unit and end the problem.

Hi Leroy, I was hoping to see your progress on the black bar installs, but I see questions about the crazy skipping cd player. My husband goes "Donald Duck" when you talk about this subject.

My CD player doesn't skip, but after installing the $300 HA90 MP3 player, I doubt I'll ever use it again.  That may be another route for you guys to consider. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Yo Leroy,
Feel your pain on the CD issue...at least yours is straightforward, mine was not.  Left speaker was cutting out at speed only...since I never rode with a fairing or radio before, I wasn't sure if it was wind, the player, or my ears needed cleaning... [smiley=nixweiss.gif]...had it in 3 different times.  They replaced everything from the left speaker to the ground to finally the unit itself...that finally worked!  Sounds great now, glad to know my ears were right but the story goes on...now the clock stops when the bike is off [smiley=confused5.gif]...called Radio Sound this time...very nice people and they sent a replacement right away so I gotta take it in one more time today....the relentless pursuit of a working CD player goes on....

Yo 103,
Have you found a way to load a playlist on your MP3 player yet instead of having to drag and drop each individual song?

Hey 103, how many songs ended up fitting on that 1 gig cartridge?

I'm still trying to find out, LOL!  I only have it about 1/2 full right now and have 148 songs on it (over 8 hours!).  I think the 1GB may have been overkill.  512MB probably would've been fine.

Elvis, yes, it takes a little Windows prowess, but you can load as many as you want at a time.  I'm using iTunes as my MP3 library and have a playlist there for the SD card that I drag and drop straight to the card via Windows Explorer.
