Thanks.. im taking a ride to Harley now to see how much it would cost in labor and to see if anyone there would be confident in doing the work.

You live on LI. I know all the dealers in the area here. None are!!! I'd think twice about that one! :o

I went to Oakdale Harley.  They did my chrome inner primary and have detailed my bike before.  The mechanic I talked to said hes done one before.  They will not add any custom amps.  Said it would void my warranty and they as a dealer will not do that.

So the only thing they would do would be to remove my amp and install it in one of the saddle bags...  do a antenna relocation and license plate relocation.   I really just wanted to be able to do a quick detach then have 2 speakers work when tour pack is off then when I put it back on I want to have all 4 speakers work again....

I want a solo seat when detached and would like to have the whole rear fender exposed.  There is a guy with an 07 Blue CVO ultra that I want to match on this site.  His looks awesome.  He went with the speakers in the lowers and full hawg wired.

I would go that route but the Harley dealer wont do it and I am afraid ill mess it up...  Ive seen pictures and it looks very complex.

Thanks
Mike

Hoist let me know when you go riding anywhere in nassau or suffolk.

When my bike's back together, we'll definitely hook up out there. Maybe a ride out to Montauk, or Orient Point would be nice. There's a few more of us from around here now. Maybe a small GTG on LI will be in order and attract a nice little crew. Q can even hop the ferry from CT and meet us out there! What do ya say John? :2vrolijk_21:

Howie, was watching the food channel "best of" last night.  Bon Appetit magazine rated Peter Luger (http://peterluger.com/) the best steak in the US.  I thought of you and wondered if you'd ever been there.  That might be worth a road trip.
