Here's a side-by-side shot of the stock 3/8" and the new 12-point 7/16" hardware. The case was already drilled for 7/16" but the front mount brackets were only 3/8". I relieved the holes in the brackets to alleviate the potential slop in the joint there. I also wanted the larger flange available with the larger size. The washers fit perfectly in the recesses already milled into the feet. IIRC, the pre-07 cases were just flat, with no washer pockets.

Putting my ugly bolt and your pretty one side by side like that is just showing off.  Just rude.  I need a beer.

I'll have to sleep on it first. It will probably happen, but I have to be really really sure I want to do it.

At least each bolt comes with a fuzzy attached.   ::)

Looks like the block welded to the mount is further back on the chrome one than black one. Also it looks like it is tilted to the rear on the chrome one. :nixweiss:

Yes. Did it last evening. Picked up some wrinkle black touch-up paint, that stayed glossy black, and touched it up today.

Today was fairing wiring day. :2vrolijk_21:

I think I'll get the longer throttle cables and clutch line. I could swing it with the stock lengths but it's just tighter than I am comfortable with after going with the 575 bars.
