I bought a larger brake pedal and a friend of mine is going to mount it on the existing control.  It just needs to be bored out a little bit so the bolt will fit.  It is for a different Harley.  I can't remember which part it is, but I will let you know.  It sits firmly on the existing control.  I will have much better contact with the pedal.  These modifications really start a domino effect. :bandana:

Thanks to all suggestions, since I followed them and I'm now a happy rider again. The Big Sucker really took care of the knee hitting the original football shape carcass, so now even though my foot still stands further away on the pedal, I manage to slightly twist my anckle and have good pedal area coverage; still I would like Smokin'Jacket to tell me what and where she purchased that pedal extension, since I might go for it. Still, the rear brake has no real feel to it; you either lock the wheel or it just does nothing to aid the useless front brake, so I will go for a 4 piston caliper as soon as I can.

Still, THE BEST mod I have done, by far is changing the front caliper for a 4 piston chromed unit. Didn't dare talk about improvement on the braking, but now after about 100 miles, I can sincerely say that whoever has a 07-08 Springer MUST change that lousy grenade shaped single piston unit and put a four pot; I chose HHI (ref FKHSCC100) I purchased from http://www.jeris-springer.com/ ; great guy great service; it took 5 days to reach home by USPS, from the US to Spain. No added tax paid  :orange:

I have now recovered my confidence in riding my Springer; the brake lever no longer feels as if I was trying to squeeze a brick, but has feel and BRAKES!!! Please do me a favour and install this brake; I will feel I have accomplished a duty by informing other Springer users how to increase their life expectancy  ;D

I still want to get similar feel from the rear brake and that's progressive braking; for that as I have mentioned I will also install a four pot unit, but for the time being The bike brakes for the first time. The rear brake is only a stabilizing factor when braking, so never expect the rear brake to do the job the front one does, so bare that in mind.

And even though it is not a safety issue, the new looks from this chromed caliper are much more in the line of what a CVO brake should look like and that is great looking, so what are you guys waiting for?  :nixweiss:
