What's the spec on that thing Howie?  What size feeler gauges do you have to wipe between the IBF (itty bitty fairing) and the windshield?

The real question I have is..........how many miles does it take before you can just turn the key and not think of this anymore?

or are you destined to examine both jugs for oil leaks forever?

It's true Good Howie.  Bad Howie broke down and bought a fairing.  It's a tiny thing (reverse compensation :nixweiss: ?).  But he got it :mango: !

I think that feeler gauge is many, many miles big! Ya know, real far away from that windshield! :P

Have any of the 110 riders that have changed cylinder or cylinder and heads got enough miles yet to feel certain all their problems are behind them?  Howie has had his numerous issues that have kept anything from truly being certain.  Scott has had General January keeping his bike indoors since his assembly was done.  Who else is out there to offer some history?

Amen pal.  Even though it's only got 25-30 miles on it now I'm still willing to be optimistic and am very pleased with how it feels right now.  Last night wanted to pull a sleeping bag out to the garage and sleep next to the lift just to be close to it.  Need a damn clutch though...

Sorry buddy.  That little thing IS a fairing.  Damn sure is.  Certainly is bigger than some of those little cowl fairing jobs that some of the rice bikes have.  You bought a fairing.  An IBF for sure.  But you is all fairinged out pal :bananarock: !

Try adding the AIM VPC lockup first! Simple, inexpensive, and easy to install. Worth a shot! ;)

Certainly easier to install.  But I've got a press here so the install isn't a big deal anyway. 

Cost seems to be about 2/3rds that of a clutch kit.  So it's cheaper.  But not jaw droppingly so. 

Biggest indicators for just swapping it out completely are that it's a stock clutch with close to 40k on it now that has already been hot once on the dyno.  Hard to justify spending $250 or so to band aid that when it looks like $425 will start better, stronger and new.
