hay chip,  delphi started in 01 softails and 02 touring with the same connectors , 08s different connector in the touring models. i have taken newer ecms 06-07 put in earler 2000s bikes and reflashed to that year and thay worked fine, i have been told that you can take early ecms and reflash to newer oxygen sensor models or ad 02 sensors to earler bikes, but i have not done it myself. hope this helps

It's my understanding that Harley went to the Delphi ECM system in 2002.
Is a 2002 Dephi ECM system as good as a 2003 system or 2004 system or 2005 system or newer?
Have a couple of things in the works and the answer to this question will be helpful.

Dennis (rednectum), where are you when I have a question?
Anyone have a clue?

2002 Delphi Introduced ECM remained the same for 2002 and 2003
2004 Gauges went on the j1850 line - new ecm
2005 New ECM =- capable of accepting O2 programming but O2's activated in 06 Dyna
2007 New ecm that allows adaptive fuel control.
2008 Touring completely new ecm

You already have 03 bikes to play with.  Whatcha gonna do to 'em?  Or is all this just an excuse to sneak one more bike past Nancy?

I believe on my 02 I have a Delphi TB and M&M electronics, not that it helps or answers any of your questions. Later,Q

You might check that again.  The Delphi and MM do not mix, completely different animals.

2001 Softail had the first Delphi EFI.
2001 Touring had MM EFI

2002 All EFI went to Delphi, no more MM

2004 Dyna gets EFI

Is that true?
Did some of the 02's have the M&M and some have Delphi?
That, I would like to know!

In 2002 these models are listed with MM ...
FLHR/FLHRI Road King
FLHTC/FLHTCI Electra Glide Classic
FLHRSEI Screamin' Eagle Road King
Firefighter Special Edition FLHRI Road King

And these 2002 with Delphi ...
FLHRCI Road King Classic
FLHTCUI Ultra Classic Electra Glide

Uncertian ...

Well Springer, that's different than what you said earlier.
But that's the info I need.
thanks bud!
That takes the 02's out of contention.
It's 03 and up!

I still will need to see it first hand before I am sold on the info.  I found what I posted above online so who knows how accurate it is.  I didn't post the link because of the pop up ads on that site I found.  I will now be looking for physical proof so I know for myself that it is accurate.  It seemed like a good source or I would not have posted it without confirming first.  Maybe there are a few out here that can post confirming pictures to prove one way or the other what is correct.

not to beat this to death but here's an easy question,

Naitram, on your 02 SERK is the ecm M&M or Delphi?

And another

Hubbards 02 Ultra Classic is Delphi for sure.

What is on a 02 Road Glide and newer is why I asked the questions to start with about what type of ECM?

Here's an 02 just found listed on eBay.  One of it's pictures makes it a Delphi bike.
