One nice thing that congress has done for all the disable vets that are rated at 50% or high with 20 years of service. In 2003 congress passed a bill that will allow us to receive our Full Military retirement and VA disability payments. This bill will slowly phase in over the next few years. I think this is the best bill congress has pass for the military in years. I will be on the receiving end of the bill since I have been rated at 70% disable with the VA. I just wanted to put this info out for the vets here if they didnt know about the program. Its called CRDP http://www.dfas.mil/retiredpay/concurrentretirementanddisabilitypay.html

Whatever you claim with VA has to be in you Med records. When you do file, claim everything. They will decide what you get paid for.... If you have sleep apnea that's 50% http://www.helpguide.org/life/sleep_disorders.htm
