I've got several boats.  And a few submarines too.  They all go in the hot tub for naval warfare.  Some have torpedoes too.  It's very cool.
Where is Roger w/the "Rubber Duckie" picture? :huepfenlol2:

The only thing I know about boats is what I've heard about the two happiest times in a boat owners life.

The day they bought it, and the day the sell it. ;D

GOOD ONE! NEVER OWNED A BOAT BUT MY BROTHER OWNED A 37' THAT HE FINALLY SOLD. AND YES , HE IS HAPPY AGAIN. ;D

I'm heading to the vast trough of knowledge here once again.
I'm looking at center console fishing boats in the 30 - 38 foot range, primarily Donzi, Fountain, Regulator, Contender, Intrepid and Yellowfin with either Mercury Verado 300's or Yamaha 350's.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I can't comment on the boats that you are considering, as I am into bass boats - exclusively Champion Boats for the past 22 years.
However, when it comes to the motor, I highly recommend Mercury.  I have also exclusively run Mercury motors for the past 22 years of fishing bass tournaments.  I have owned most of the other popular brands of motors - Since my first Mercury in 1986 I have always been impressed with the reliability and performance.
As an old fisherman once told me, "once you've had black, you'll never go back to the other motors".

I'm looking at center console fishing boats in the 30 - 38 foot range, primarily Donzi, Fountain, Regulator, Contender, Intrepid and Yellowfin with either Mercury Verado 300's or Yamaha 350's.
I have had a couple of Donzis previously and really liked them but the local dealer switched to Fountain and the nearest dealer is in St Augustine, 350 miles away. Of course Yellowfin and Intrepid are only factory sold, so I guess service might be a problem with them also.
I know some of you SC, NC and Fl people are off shore fishing nuts and have experience with some of these boats.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Mark,

Brian (Hogasm) is the Donzi guy.  I have a Boston Whaler 270 Outrage with twin 225 Mercury Fourstrokes (Yamahas painted black) that is fully equipped for offshore.  The 270 seems to be more popular than the 320 around here, know some who have traded down.  This is my third Whaler and wouldn't own anything else and I have looked at a lot of boats.

FYI, I am considering selling as I just don't put the hours on it.  If you are interested, PM me for more details.

My personal favorite is .....  A U.S. Navy crewman stands atop the cabin of a PB Mark III patrol boat tied up to the barge Wimbrown 7 during a pause in operations. The barge is heavily armed, carrying, from lower to upper right, an M-2 .50-caliber machine gun, a Mark 2 81mm mortar.
