Retractable Passenger Pegs
« on: April 20, 2005, 09:28:02 PM »

Does anyone have experience with installation of Kuryakyn Adjustable (retractable) Passenger Pegs? This looks like the perfect fix for my daughter, leaving the boards at the stock height for my wife.  [smiley=biggthumpup.gif]
However, Kuryakyn footnotes that FLHTCSE2 requires part#4536 Chrome Board mounts too. What the heck?? These bikes have factory-added chrome mounts, and now they have to be changed out in order to use the #7926 Adjustable Pegs?? Someone help explain the interference please? Every time you turn around, it's another $100 constraint! Not to mention that the factory has them backordered until sometime in May. So you can buy the pegs, but just can't install them for another month............................ [smiley=furious.gif]

Lonewolfe,

Aint that the truth! Every time you turn around its a hundred dollars, thats what the HD stands for! [smiley=laugh.gif]
I had these on my roadking for my wife. She said her legs would fall asleep and this helped her legs and her butt! The SEEGs brackets are different than these. The adjustable pegs won't clamp down, not enough meat. I bought mine from m&m cycles and got the kuryakyn parts at 25% off and no sales tax. Normally they sell at 20% off.

                                                   See Ya, JR [smiley=laugh.gif]

I liked them too but passed because I did not want to change out the footboard mount. Here is a thread I started a while back on them.

Well that just sucks.  [smiley=furious.gif]  I have these on my Road King and love them. Not only do they allow the passenger to pick the perfict position between them and the regular floor boards but sometimes when I'm riding solo I put them in the foreward position and rest my heels back on them. Kinda a sport bike position. But now to learn when my new YELLOW SEEG comes in next week I won't be able to just switch them over. Will see what the problem is and let ya all know.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

JR, you got that right  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Just got back from Laughlin and went to the Kuryakyn booth. they now list the RIGHT brackets that fit our pegs. For those of us that also went with the Freedoms or true duals they also have an "extension" to work with the pegs and pipes. (Only effects the left side) So it can be done, just need a few more hundred dollars.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
