...its too late for you now. This bike is hard to find, but you could have started with that tour pack.

I just stole a copy of that image.  Thanks.

Your welcome Twolanerider. I did see some used shark fins on ebay tonight. Harley has discontinued them, but there might be some laying around a dealerships somewhere. Doc

Saw two sets currently on eBay.  The ones supplied with the bike are just fair.  They need rechromed to be good again.  One side of one of them peeled.  No doubt why he'd put something else on.  Going to try to score the better set on eBay.  Maybe I'll get lucky.

Then looked down and didn't see my push button on the fuel door but instead the old key lock. Chit.  Key was at home on the work bench.

Brian, am keeping my fingers crossed that a relatively local option will make a go of it.  A shop hereby that used to be a plater has opened back up.  Real surprise given all the demands on that work now.  They're doing powder coating in one area and plating in another.  I'm sending them a few small pieces just to check things out.

Don,
Keep me in the loop on this ok ?  Me, Bubba_T and Beagle have a few items apiece that would make a nice order as a whole. If your guy looks good, maybe we can help him make a go of it. Talk to him about the site- - - maybe a CVOHarley.com discount ?

Already have mentioned our group to him.  Local guy, small business, start up.  All that.  He's exercising a model that's fair cost for everyone and doesn't think he's ready to offer discounts yet.  I've given him a few small parts already.  Should have them back next week. Will try to find a bit more to send him if those look good.  Then we'll look up in three months and see if he's still making a go of it.

Good SERG news this afternoon.  UPS is due to deliver a box tomorrow that will include some polished stainless engine and tranny hardware, other small bits and one of those EZ Pull clutch kits.  All from a nice eBay score.

So pulled off the right pipe and tranny side cover to start getting ready for it (didn't have anything else that had to be done).  While apart decided to be brave and pull the cam cover off to check the tensioners.  Would have been really pissed if they needed immediate service.  But didn't want to start knocking down many miles on it without knowing for sure either.

So took a big breath and grabbed it by the nose.  20k miles and not bad at all.  Pic of the outer to go by.  Whew....  :drink:
