Since the PC is installed on the OUTPUT side of the ECM, any changes to the ECM, or input side, changes what the output, or PC must do.  Since it is incapable of changing itself, you have to tune it again.  I could go into greater detail on process controllers, but will refrain.  Suffice it to say that any changes in input will require a new tune for the output device.  The PC is hooked up by placing it between the output side of the ECM, and the wiring harness that goes to all the other chit that controls the bike.  Some of it just passes through with no changes, but anything to do with fuel management gets modified based on what's coming IN to the PC.

When you get a "canned" map from Fuelmoto, it matters if you've had a "stage 1" download to the ECM, back when you could do that.

But in/out is the operation with interuptters...

Tables in the ecm are slewed by sert and flashed to the memory, the formulae are modified.
Tables in the ecm are interupted by PC and rebroadcast via map mods in the PC.
A PC is an outside agency, sert is keyed programming.

Sorry for the confusion.  I'll shut up now.....well for a little while... :)

Man, just once try and keep something simple and see what happens....  :huepfenlol2:

That was our Home Repair Mega store before Home Depot ran em outta business, Pergament! And that's what they did. Brought garbage in, so you can take garbage out! Was more like Purgatory! ;D

Thought this was dead, huh? NOT!!! ;D ;)

TODAY'S UPDATE:

I just received my reworked Corbin back. Finally! After over 2 months, having lost then found it, and barely having anyone to talk to about it! Well, the shape is off and could barely get the screw to reach the fender to screw it down. Try that with a KTP on! You need 4 hands! But that was after discovering that they removed the pigtail half on the seat side for the heat! So no way of plugging it in! Finally did speak to the only guy there that's been of any help at all, Sergio. He's a good guy and is trying. But everyone else there seems to have better things to do than worry about your seat, gettig it right, or even answering a phone or returning a call! Very disappointed dealing with them. We'll see if the rework makes it livable now though. It was not before! If it's still not, I'm done! It'll go up on EBay, and I'll pick up a Sundowner or SunRay seat from HD! But this whole experience has been very disheartening!

Hey Howie, not sure the fender width is the same, but that new rear fender extention and tail lights on the 09 SERG would look cool on Cybil!
