I think we will see the FLHTCUSE4 as a CVO next year. I looked online, and the Ultra CVO’s production outnumbers all the other CVO models at 4200 produced. It is a very popular CVO, and with all the extras, rightfully so. But that popularity costs you in the exclusivity, as more are produced, year after year.
Last years Ultra Classic CVO, FLHTCUSE2 production was 4100, and this year it went up. I suspect next year we will see 4500 FLHTCUSE4 machines produced.
Don’t forget, the Ultra Classic is Harley’s flagship bike. That batwing says, “I’m a Harley”, and invites individuals to look at all the chrome.
Let us not forget that since the whole CVO lineup is a marketing scheme to sell Screamin’ Eagle accessories, the Ultra IS the biggest traveling billboard for the company.
I have no idea what the other 3 bikes will be, but I bet a Rocker CVO is NOT in the works; but it will be out in the 5th year model as a CVO. Marketing Dept. at MOCO needs to keep the momentum going on other models.
Wouldn’t it be a hoot if they made a Sportster CVO?!?!?!
Finally, think anniversaries; which models are having an 5 year or Decade based anniversary?
Things I found on the web…
“The entire run of CVO Road Kings for 2008 will account for less than 1 percent of Harley's production.”
http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/harley-davidson/2008-harleydavidson-cvo-models-59959.html“With over 5,000 passes of paint on 450 body parts, Cailbre Inc. is able to cover 50 CVO motorcycles a day.”
THIS WORKS OUT TO 13000 BIKES ANNUALLY – IF THEY DON’T WORK WEEKENDS.
