Henry...I warned you about smoking that Crank before that third shift chit... :2vrolijk_21:

Seriously, probably relalated to your recent work schedule, drinking coffee/cokes, stress, and anxiety.  Your schedule is abbynormal right now.

I used to get this chit, but it was in 1971, and I was doing white crosses and pulling a mousetrap clutch on a Panhead Chopper...could have had something to do with only having a rear brake pedal, a candle for a headlight, hardtail, and weighing in at about 120lbs soaking ass wet.   :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Watch yourself, buddy...f'ing up your body's natural state by working odd hours can really have some serious side effects.

You mean I can't smoke drugs and NOT have a heart problems?   :huepfenlol2:
This chit started in January.............right about the time I started this back and forth crap.  Last time I was home, the doctor slapped a Holter monitor on me.  He called me with the results today.  Wants me home right away.  So, I'll fly home in the morning.  Wants to send me to a cardiologist.  I'm thinking I just need to handle the situation differently, but I'll play the game first to make sure I'm not in any danger.
DEFINITELY drinking way too much coffee and Diet Coke.  I drink more of it on thirds than I do under normal work schedule.  Haven't had either today, I'm wanting it something fierce, and my heart is still jumpy.  Sometimes it feels like my heart is going to beat out of my chest.  It's like having butterflies in my chest.  Very unnerving, and even moreso when I try to sleep.  Hopefully we'll get to the root cause and make corrections in short order.  I'm too young for this chit.

Forgot what those were called.  In 7th Grade English Mrs. Parker told me if I used words like "ain't" she would give me an F.  Old battleaxe b%tch from hell.......

Listen to your Doc Henry, he probably is stressed out as well from looking at some brand new Mercedes or a large yacht & is wondering how he can possibly make those payments as well as vacation in Tahiti for a month this year.  So don't add to his stress level by not listening to him.   ;)

Seriously - take care, follow the regimen, get the tests, & get better soon. Hopefully your doc will not have the strange, weird, odd, & bizarre fascination with your anal orifice that my doc has.  I already looked for hidden cameras in his treatment room.  Damn pervo.

Henry,
When dealing with symptoms in the heart, don't put off seeing the doc.  That's serious chit man.  It could be something as simple as stress related to the work you're doing right now, but let a cardiologist tell you that.   My dad passed away at 57 from a massive coronary because he wouldn't do anything about the the symptoms that he had previously...afraid of what he might have been told by the doctor, I guess.   :nixweiss:  So his attitude was, if I ignore it, it will go away.  Unfortunately, he went away instead.  :-\   Hopefully, all it is is that you will need to chill for awhile and avoid stress.  It's probably all that time away from the "mellon" has gotten you stressed out.   Seriously Bro, get it checked out and let us know how it turns out.

Let me reinforce this message with my own example.  I started experiencing occasional chest pains in December 2006.  Even though I didn't have a history of severe heartburn, I convinced myself it was probably just a case of GERD brought on by age.  Like many men, I have an aversion to doctors and hospitals for anything less than missing body parts.  In this case, however, the combination of my aversion to doctors and my incorrect self diagnosis nearly killed me.  I suffered a heart attack in March of 2007; fortunately I was at home when it happened and not out driving around by myself in the boondocks.  My cardiologist has reminded me several times about just how lucky I was to survive.

Red, I extend my condolences for the loss of your dad.

Henry, please have this checked out ASAP.  And when I say ASAP, I don't mean "when I find time".  Please do it now.

Thanks Jerry, and really glad to hear you were fortunate to survive your attack.  :)  You were lucky.  I'm very careful about anything heart related as both my dad and grandfather died of heart attacks.  (My grandfather wasn't as young as my dad though.)  It's nothing to get "John Wayne" over and ignore the warnings.

Henry, ditto to what everyone else said. Get home and get it checked out, probably just stress or maybe that New Yack food. Be sure and let us know. We'll be thinking about you!

Couldn't get a flight out of LaGuardia until 3pm.  Got home at 6:30.  Have an appointment with a cardiologist tomorrow.

Something else I lost during my doctor's recitation of what's wrong with me:  Supraventricular Tachycardia.

Dammit.   :nervous:  >:(v

Just now.....BP 137/85  Pulse 65ppm

Everytime I take my BP I get something different.  Sometimes I'm at 120ish over 70ish.  Others I'm at 140ish over 90ish.  On occasion I've peaked at 155/110.  In NO case has my pulse been over 70bpm.  In fact, my pulse usually shows between 55 and 60bpm.   Sorta makes me wonder about the validity of the SVT diagnosis.  Evidently the Holter showed "a few events" during which my heart rate exceeded 170bpm.

I musta been looking at Renea!   :2vrolijk_21: ;)

We'll run this to ground tomorrow.  Right now, I'm doing the best I can to not worry about it.
