I just heard back from New Zealand on the Aveo device.

I was also watching the viceo on the site and noted the US Army is testing it.  See the news video here: http://www.aveosleep.ca/

To get them in the USA you have to order it through your doctor. It has received FDA approval.

To find out how to source them
1. Through Great Lakes Orthodontics.
2.Online google aveotsd.or aveo sleep.
3 Buy them in Canada from the pharmacy where they are available over the counter.

Not sure which pharmacy may carry them, but the Canadian Google site had this online soure at $20.00 off. They have a 5 pack deal that gets it down to $102.00 plus GST. Maybe a Canadian member would be able to buy them and forward to those that have interest.

They are only available through a dentist here, Your FDA at work.

There are a few devices like that available up here, one developed by a dentist in Calgary. I thought about getting one, but they only work for people who sleep w/ their mouth closed. Not much good for us mouth breathers!

That's the good thing about this one.  It actually sucks onto your tongue and stays in place pulling the tongue forward and opening the airway making it easier to breath so you're not having to fight to get the air in.

I know it's goofy but it seems to work on a very high percentage of snorers and many of those have to think they are mouth breathers.

Unless there's a deviated septum issue or something I would think it would work.
