LOL...No not going to Sedona,  Won't take the bet either. The pics are not close enough to tell. Both EFI lines being there indicates EFI but the EVO style venting is typical of carbed bikes? I have seen EFI bikes with that vent tube.

heh ... you guys are really up on SERG knowledge. I will try to find out something for sure from the seller. I am supposed to get the following with the bike ...

- stock tour pack
- aftermarket tour pack with speakers
- drivers and pass backrest
- original exhaust (no shark fins though )

he does not have the original bag inserts ... was that an option or did they all come that way?

They all came with that, but you can still get those from the dealer.

Didn't say this before (too intent on carb vs. FI ), but congrats on the purchase!

From what I have read, you'd better ask if there is an original cover that comes with it! I know some people here are "Jonesing" for one!

Scooter is saying the fuel injection has been removed and replaced by a carburetor.

UMMM, No I did not. 

Are you sure you didn't say that bike had been carbed ?

It has been Carbed too.

The breather cross-over is used on carbed bikes and the hose running down is a puke hose.



Scooter RULES   

The crossover was also part of some old versions of the Stage 1 air cleaner kit.  Vent went in to the back of the air cleaner.  Puke hose could've been hung off the vent nipple instead of going to the air cleaner as it had originally.  If that's what's going on I hope it doesn't mean that the bike is venting so much oil that he had to puke it out on the ground because doing it in the air cleaner was either a huge mess or a carbon creation machine.

Congratulations on getting the bike GW.  Hope it's great and you and it have a ton of fun together.  Be sure and share first ride feelings and all the other good times.

AJ, did I mention that I gave away my beautiful, pristine, exquisite, actually pretty darn nice Screamin Eagle can't find them anymore Road Glide bike cover to the local Girl Scout chapter.  They auctioned it off and bought a school bus for the troop.  Since I don't have it anymore no one else needs to keep making plans to sneak in and steal it.

I carbed mine and wished I had done it sooner. 

The owner went through a lot of trouble to make the carb conversion. With the carb your bike will run a lot cooler and probably have a happier and longer life. I wish it was easy to convert to points to make it complete, only the early cone engines lent themselves to that. Congrats on your purchase. Doc

Orange plug wires.

Still looking to see what the tell-tale sign of a carb is.  It sorta looks to me like the same intake manifold as mine (below).   Might see the enrichener knob just above the horn, but awful blurry when the photos enlarged.  Did the seller advertise it as a carbed bike?

Yeah, that's my bike, not goldwing's.  I just posted the photo as a reference.  Sorry for any confusion.
