And here are a few of a bike I built from the frame up, using the platform of a 1996 Heritage Softail...  paint was done by a good friend - Randy Russell - he calls his company Psycolorgy...  the pictures don't do the paint justice... layers and layers of detail...

Bought the fenders from West Coast Choppers, stretched tank from Custom Chrome, lots of odds and ends from JP Cycles... motor was an 89 ci EVO...

The softail was my first bike building experience in the late 90's, just like my current 07 SEUC was my first motor building experience this year.

The toughest part was the electrical end of things...  The bike had lowered Progressive suspension front and rear, chrome swingarm, PM six piston brakes calipers up front and PM 4 piston calipers in the rear, floating rotors, lots of odds and ends...it was a winter project that took about 3 months to build.  It started with a frame I bought at a swap meet...  It was lots of fun!

Great pictures thanks for sharing.  I'm so used to seeing pictures of HD on this site that that 1st picture looked a little goofy at first.  It's been a while since I've seen a Magna.  I love the carbon fiber look on the Heritage tank.  I'll bet that's a bike you wish you still had.

I wish I had better pictures of the paint.  It was amazing.  And, yes - I wish I still had all my bikes, but this one was special because of all the time I put into it...
